What is RSS? And how do I use it? Why Use RSS?
Without RSS, users will have to check your site daily to check for new updates. This may be too time-consuming for many users. With an RSS feed (RSS is often called a News Feed or RSS Feed) they can check your site faster using an RSS aggregator (a site or program that gathers and sorts out several RSS feeds). How Do I Use It? I (Gareth Brooks) personally recommend you download the FireFox browser, not only is it the fastest, and the safest Internet Browser around, it also has its own RSS Reader. Download the latest Firefox browser from http://www.mozilla.com/firefox/ Once you have downloaded
it visit http://www.nwrab.com and you'll
see a little icon looking like this There are many other ways of getting the feed, the most popular is by using a website called Newsgator, which is at the following address http://www.newsgator.com/home.aspx. Just create an account for free and add my feed either by searching for it, or by using the button the home page. Finally Please let me know if the RSS Feeds do not work by emailing me at garethbrooks@nwrab.com and I will try to answer you emails as soon as possible. I am currently extremely busy with my university degree, hence why the site has not been updated for so long. So instead of having to visit the site to see what's been updated, you can know use the RSS Feeds to do just that. Thanks for your time, Gareth Brooks (nwrab webmaster) |
